Comfort is one of the things the Bible says God does best. The prophets speak of him comforting his people like a mother comforts a child, and Paul calls him "the God of all comfort." These verses are for any kind of hurt: disappointment, illness, loss, or just a week that has worn you down. They are short enough to read in a waiting room or text to a friend. Let them be a soft place to land.
