Grief doesn't follow a schedule, and it doesn't always come with words. The Bible makes room for mourning: Jesus himself wept at a friend's grave, and the Psalms are full of tears. These verses won't rush you or tell you how to feel. They offer company in the sorrow and a quiet hope beyond it. If you have lost someone, or something, take whatever you need from them, and leave the rest for another day.
